Founded in 1891, the Ladies’ Garden Club billed itself as nation’s first garden club. The Garden Club of Georgia, founded in 1928 in Atlanta, led efforts to construct a memorial to the twelve original members of the Athens club. It would become the Founders Memorial Garden, completed in 1946.
This copy is from the sixth edition of the publication, 1976. The original publication date is not provided. The newspaper clippings, photographs, and other items span the years, 1891-1966.
